How to make a WhatsApp-ready product catalogue
A clear product catalogue saves customers from searching through separate photos and messages. Put the product details, current prices and enquiry instructions together before sharing your collection.
DHEBE Business Docs creates catalogue files you can attach in WhatsApp, plus an optional public catalogue link. It is a document and catalogue maker; it does not manage the catalogue inside a WhatsApp Business account or send messages automatically.
Make a product cataloguePrepare each product or service
- Name and category: use names customers recognise and group related products.
- Photo: choose a clear image that represents the actual product or service.
- Description: state the useful details, inclusions or specifications.
- Price and unit: explain whether the rate applies per item, box, session, hour or another unit.
- Options: add sizes, colours or package variants with their own prices.
- Order details: identify minimum quantities, availability, bulk rates and relevant delivery terms.
Choose between a catalogue and a price list
A photo catalogue is useful when the product's appearance helps the customer choose. A compact price list works well for salon services, standard packages or a collection customers already know. Both formats use the same saved products, so you can create the version that fits the conversation.
Example: a home bakery
Group celebration cakes, everyday bakes and party boxes separately. State the weight or serving basis, available variants, minimum order and advance notice. Explain whether delivery or decoration needs a separate confirmation.
Pick the sharing format
| Format | Useful when | What to review |
|---|---|---|
| PDF catalogue | You want one document the customer can open, save or print. | Page layout, product photos, readable labels and clickable enquiry links. |
| JPG pack | You want image pages to attach directly in a WhatsApp conversation. | Extract a downloaded ZIP first, then select its JPG images for sharing. |
| Live catalogue link | Customers should browse your latest published collection and choose products. | Only publish details you want public. Update the link after local draft changes. |
Make enquiries easy to understand
Add your business contact details and an enquiry QR or link when appropriate. A live catalogue lets customers choose products, variants and quantities, then prepares a structured WhatsApp enquiry after checking the latest published prices. The customer still decides whether to send the message, and you confirm the final order and delivery details.
Keep a reliable master copy
Save your catalogue and reusable products in the workspace, and download a backup before changing devices or clearing browser data. A PDF or JPG is a snapshot: update it when prices change. Public links change only after you publish an update, and they remain available for the duration you choose.
When a customer is ready for a formal offer, select the relevant products and quantities to prepare a customer quotation. That quotation keeps its own price snapshot, so later catalogue edits do not rewrite the offer.
